I'm a Sequential Artist with the above pen name.
I study vast amounts of sequential arts from the early Yellow Kid to the Get Fuzzy of today. I have studied the art forms of 1960-1970 Underground Comix, 1900-1950 Syndicated, Indie 1980's, 1990's Syndicate, 1990's Super Hero Mainstream, and the artistic illustration of many artists. I study the ink from line to blot, I practice the linework until their own artform influences mine.
The artists who have contributed alot to my own work is Bill Watterson, Robert Crumb, Daniel Clowes, Johen Vasquez,Frank Willard, and Michelle Lynn.

My comics usually focus on pessimistic thoughts, chronic depression, violent actions, religious ideals, political undertones, censorship, marijuana, sarcasm, and mixed symbolism/metaphor.

I also illustrate some work, with usually free associated drawing where I just draw from my mind only.
I plan on attending the Art Institute of Portland next year to further my career and transcend into Animation.

My favorite form of art is Sequential, Abstract, and Pop.
I plan on writing more, but essentially this is it.
I draw comics.
Thats all I ever did, and hopefully, thats all I will need to do.
Love&;peace,
-Mikey

"If art wasn't controversial, emotive, naive, arrogant, slanderous, disturbing, violent, and uncensored then why be an artist?."

Cool. I apparently didn't lock it in my phone like I thought I did... the number, that is. Send it to me again in a note.

We can bring it back to life. We have the technology.

If you have time to make something for it, I will have time to make something for it.

I found some old naturish comic I made ages ago that I'd like to redraw for it.
:iconmauston:
Im always up to start a zine with a fellow artist, espeacilly with your mind.

Micheal, you have set my soul on fire... I needed those words -on 'Loves Me Loves Me Not'- right about now as it's been too long without any completed work here. Meanwhile, your writings strike me just as deep. For what all my advice is worth, you have a style I could never spin into a spell organically. My tendency to lean so far in the direction of Hunter S. Thompson leaves me little room to express myself in the way you do. You explained how you arrived at the one piece you wrote... the one that cracked me up as much as impressed me on a more serious, formulated level. I will be trying your technique - and I try nothing without a true belief in what I find to be a beautiful symphonette of chaotically organized processes; my motto, my art, my life. Watch, as a tree attempts to become a fish, and it is all thanks to you.

Thank you. This place would be listless without you here to talk to :)
I appreciate all your advice and I always look forward to your work.
And I'm thankful something of mine actually inthralled some emotions.
